Tracking on second solo project completed!
June 5, 2010
Natasha has been busy in the studio working on her second solo project. She and her publisher went through her song catalog and identified songs they thought would lend themselves to a more stripped down acoustic treatment and she went into the studio with Billy Panda who was her session band leader on “Cheap Escape” playing many acoustic guitars along with Natasha and Byron House on upright bass. Byron just finished playing bass on the Robert Plant’s Band of Joy album and is also getting ready to embark on tour with Plant so Natasha felt lucky to get him on this album.
They recorded the album at Station West Studios in Berry Hill neighborhood of Nashville which is also the studio where Bering Strait recorded their second album for Universal South Records, “Pages”. The word is that the release date will be sometime in the fall. We will keep you posted.
- with Alexander Arzamastsev, Natasha’s former bandmate with Bering Strait. Alex came in after the tracks were done and added cajon and some percussion.
